2.The relay output is isolated from the 5VDC~ 12VDC required to operate the relay, so you can control just about anything up to 250VAC, as long as you do not exceed the relay current ratings. If working with non-resistive AC loads (such as incandescent bulbs, motors, heaters, etc.) you should probably de-rate by 10x to ensure you don't fry the relay with input surge currents when first turned on (i.e. keep your rated load below 150W at 125VAC). Remotes are sturdy, the buttons require a moderate press and have a tactile 'click' when activated.
