The hand-cranked generator uses the mechanical energy generated by rotating the handle, which runs the motor/generator, to generate electricity for the LED light. The generator power is using the principle of electromagnetic induction, that is, the coil generates induced electromotive force in the rotating magnetic field to generate electricity. The basic structural components in the machine are stator and rotor. The stator is generally a permanent magnet, and the rotor is a coil. Driven by external force, the coil cuts the magnetic line of induction in the magnetic field to generate induced electromotive force.
